Why Are Messages Removed?
Not sure why your message was deleted? Read the Important Notice for a full explanation.
How do I add NeverSpamBot to my group?
Add @NeverSpamBot to your Telegram group and grant it Delete Messages and Ban Users permissions (the bot uses ban rights only to mute users—it never bans anyone). It works out of the box—no captchas or extra setup needed.

Will the bot ban or remove members?
No. NeverSpamBot only mutes suspicious users, preserving your member count. Admins can unmute anyone with: /notspam <user_id | @username | display_name>
How does spam detection work?
The bot applies multi‑stage context analysis on each new member’s messages—scanning hundreds of topics (links, scams, crypto, etc.). Once a user clears all trust stages, monitoring stops and they chat freely.
Filtering Scope & Legacy Members
NeverSpamBot only monitors members who join after it’s added—existing members are skipped to avoid unnecessary checks. If an older member does post spam, quote the offending message and send: /spam
to the group. The bot will mute them just like a new spammer. Note that silent spammers (accounts that joined before the bot and haven’t posted) won’t be detected until they speak and you manually flag them. Over time, as you handle these legacy spammers, your group will become completely spam‑free.
How can I report missed spam or false positives?
- Missed spam: Quote the offending message in the group and send
/spam
- False positive: As an admin in the group send
/notspam <user_id | @username | display_name>
This feedback helps improve the filters in real time.
Can I customize what gets filtered?
Yes. In your group chat (not in a DM), send: /set_context_<type> true|false

How do I change or force the bot’s language?
NeverSpamBot auto‑detects your group’s primary language. To force a specific language, an admin must send the command in the group chat (not via DM to the bot): /set_language <lang code>

Why is the bot not responding?
- Confirm it has Delete Messages and Mute Users permissions.
- If Telegram won’t add it, you may have hit the per‑group bot limit—remove unused bots and try again.
- If none of the above helps, contact support for assistance.
Is NeverSpamBot available on other platforms?
Currently Telegram only, but we’re working on support for Discord, Slack, WhatsApp and more.
